Music Players and Formats
Music Track Formats (icons used on this site):
WMA
These music tracks are Windows 'wma' format and use Windows Media Player. Get it from Microsoft free.
When these tracks are played, Windows Media Player is opened as a separate application. Generally 'wma' format produces smaller files without sacrificing quality (Microsoft blurb). The smaller file size is useful if your 'MP3' player also plays wma format.

MP3
These tracks use MP3 format (taking up more disc space and bandwidth) and call up the 'Quicktime' player, RealPlayer, iTunes or whatever MP3 player your web-browser/computer is set to use - it should already be loaded in the web browser. Sometimes this format calls up the Windows Media Player. When these tracks are played by Quicktime, the web browser window changes to the Quicktime player. To return here, use the 'back' button. Other music players start up a separate application.
